To be without running is like a shoe with no foot
No no no, to be without running is like a kid with no jello
That’s horrible as well, let me start over…
To be without running is like a calorie with no home
It gets put into place with no space to roam
Like a child on restriction as its bound to its room
This energy will go nowhere except the bathroom
It looks left then right with no chance to turn
Then stares at the others just hoping to burn
Its anxiously forecasts an entire life sentence
In a calorie cage amidst barb wired fences
Memories of sweat are like years in the past
Replaced with happy meals of food that is fast
It awakes in the morning with thoughts of a run
Thinking how others may rise with the sun
Then as it gets late must make room for the others
Here comes those good guys Ben & Jerry our brothers
